How to Find the Area of a Parallelogram

Calculating the area of a parallelogram is easy, even though the shape may look a little scary.  A parallelogram is simply a four-sided object that is made up of two sets of parallel sides.

The formula to find the area of a parallelogram is:

(b)ase x (h)eight = area

Where “b” and “h” refer to the base and the height respectively.

So, if the base is 6 and the height is 4, we find the area of this parallelogram by multiplying 6 x 4 = 12.
