Taking an SAT Subject Test in Austin, TX

There are two ways to prepare for an SAT Subject Test: 1) Read as much as you can about the subject matter the test will cover 2) Learn the techniques that will allow you to score as highly as possible.  My one-on-one tutoring makes my test taking techniques second nature for you and then increases your subject knowledge in the most critical, score building areas.  I teach you to think differently so that you can get your best score with the least amount of effort.

I can help determine how many and which tests to take (Literature, US/World History, Math I/II, Physics, Biology E/M, Chemistry and various Languages), how to prepare for each, and when to take them.  My system will eliminate the stress and anxiety associated with these issues, so that you can focus on acing your test(s).

How My SAT Subject Test Tutoring Typically Works

Aside from helping students learn the best techniques to take each Subject Test, I am only able to tutor subject matter for the Literature, US History, and Math I/II tests.

  1. I meet in-person, video conference (via Skype), or on the phone with parents and student to discuss the student’s background, planning, and goals for any SAT Subject Tests and college.
  2. We discuss what upcoming SAT Subject Test dates might be best for the student to prepare for and select one or more test dates.
  3. We then choose a time to meet each week to work on test taking strategies, review homework assignments, and focus on any areas that I feel will best help each individual student.
  4. My system focuses on each student’s needs but will always include homework to be completed by the student before each appointment.  This allows us to spend our time together working through any difficult problems and concepts and focusing on strategies that have been proven to increase students’ scores when taking one or more SAT Subject Tests.
